Islamic Outreach ABIM is designing it to the needs of the nation and beyond, under a five year plan from its initiation through providing a speaker list of more than 100 active participants throughout Malaysia and beyond.Continue reading “Our Journey to Islam: An Innovative Islamic Speaker’s Bureau”

Guarding the frontier
Prophet Muhammad, The Messenger, peace be upon him, once asked: “Listen. Shall I guide you to the things through which God blots out sins and elevates you to higher ranks?” When his Companions asked him to do so, he told them: “Perform wudhu’ (ritual ablution) as correctly as possible, even in the most adverse conditions; walk to the mosque for each prayer, and wait for the next prayer after praying. This is the ribat, this is the ribat (preparation, dedication).” [Muslim]Continue reading “Guarding the frontier”
Malaysia vs Indonesia: Whither sportsmanship?
http://www.malaysiakini.com/letters/151897
It doesn’t matter who flashed the Indonesian goalie with a laser pointer in the recent game in Kuala Lumpur. The fact that it happened at all has damaged Malaysia’s reputation among those who may have been watching, or even among some Malaysians themselves.
Further, an intelligent analysis of the consequences of this single act for the second of the two-game series might have suggested suspending the first match as a viable option for officials, in spite of losses due to ticket refunds.

Moderate Islam- Clash or Convergence?
In New York City recently, the Malaysian Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak has shown clever timing in proposing a worldwide confederation of the more civilized Muslim countries to present the “real”, as opposed to “extreme”, form of Islam. His call for a “Global Movement of the Moderates” was aimed at rallying leaders and intellectuals of the Islamic world to come forward and state their stand openly and firmly against extremism. Certainly, this is an idea whose time has come. The next question is, can the Muslim majority agree as to what “moderate Islam” really means?Continue reading “Moderate Islam- Clash or Convergence?”
“Sex Education”: An Islamic Perspective
http://www.nst.com.my/nst/articles/19sexed/Article/#
After the mid-1960’s, when adolescent sexuality went completely out of control in the USA, the next development, following like night after day, was pederasty. Here is what an older pederast – an American Muslim convert (later in and out of jail) – explained about having sex with children. He said it helps to develop them as human beings. He said it raises their maturity to understand what being human was really about. And he said that it was much better to have sex with a child than to try and teach “sex education” in the schools.

New opportunities in Malaysia-US relations
http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/144117
The trusteeship for the leadership of the human race had been lost by the Muslims since approximately 1492 CE, when the Catholic forces of Europe both discovered America and took Granada as the last stronghold of the Muslims in Spain.
