We have received recent reports of a Russian woman whose husband somehow persuaded her to commit suicide in the presence of a certain Sufi leader active in their community. Russian media quoted police as saying that Said Atsayev, a renowned Sufi Muslim spiritual leader popularly known as Shaykh Said Afandi al-Chirkawi, was killed in an attack when the woman entered his home disguised as his follower and detonated an explosive belt around her waist. The blast happened in the village of Chirkey in the southern republic, which borders Chechnya.

How many instances of attempted genocide have we seen since 1900? Some would say the Turks tried to eliminate the Armenians. The Armenians are sure of it. Hitler admittedly tried to eliminate all Jews from the face of the earth. People did not quite believe him until the actual death camps were discovered. If you stand in one of them, for example Auschwitz in Poland, there can be no question what went on there. There can be no question anything ELSE went on there. It is plain as day. Pengerusi Pertubuhan-Pertubuhan Pembela Islam (PEMBELA), Aminuddin Yahaya berkata, pihaknya kesal apabila pemimpin DAP itu berulang kali mengatakan Malaysia adalah negara sekular sedangkan Perlembagaan telah menetapkan Islam adalah ‘Agama Negara’.

An important Ramadhan reminder

The Prophet (pbuh) said: “combat the self with hunger and thirst, for there is reward in that.”
One might perhaps ask: “wherefrom is this great virtue of hunger? What is the reason for it when there is but pain for the stomach and harmful suffering? And if it is to be so, then man should be granted greater rewards for allowing the self to suffer such harm in denying the flesh what it craves and forcing it to accept the objectionable and the like.”

Al Qur’an makes it clear from the first Surah that the Shaitan will tempt and corrupt all human beings possible, since he is jealous that humankind is only made out of earthly mud while the Shaitan himself was one of the angels made out of fire.
