Not one single Muslim who prays for the soul of the Prophet Ibrahim (a.s.) and his progeny every day can possibly be anything OTHER than a “homophobe”. “Phobia” means an aversion or fear of something. It was the homosexuals that the Angels of Allah swt were going to warn, when they stopped at the abode of Prophet Ibrahim (a.s.) in disguise. Ibn Arabi explains their disguise to us, calling them “theophonic angels” – angels carrying messages to humans by being disguised as humans themselves. They stopped at the abode of Prophet Ibrahim (a.s.) to give him the news that he would soon be blessed with two sons who would become the spiritual exemplars and prophets of all future generations, Ishmael and Ishak.
The forgotten Muslims

Among the unjust borders that the western powers drew after World Wars I and II, the border between Arakan and South Thailand is among the cruelest. The Muslims of Rohingnya were cut off from the Malay Muslims of South Thailand, as well as the Muslims of Malaysia and Bangladesh.
Lessons for Living: Expressing Grief
Sometimes in our life we come across valleys that we feel are too deep for our grief-stricken self to find relief. It seems, at that point, there is no reason for us to go on. We face uphill tasks at work, encounter difficult individuals, or face life’s big and tough questions, or experience traumatic loss of our family members and friends; these are just some of the situations, and how so often we feel that we run out of places to look to find relief. It’s then that our thoughts play tricks on us, leading us to believe that not even God cares. The following story, compiled from “In the Footsteps of the Prophet” by Tariq Ramadan (pp. 191, 192), shows us how this is not true. The story serves as a meaningful lesson on Prophet Muhammad’s exemplary character in expressing grief.
The arrival of our third child, 2nd February 2009
All Praise is due to Allah, so we praise Him, and seek His pardon and we turn to Him. We seek refuge with Allah from the evils of ourselves and from the evil consequences of our deeds. Whom Allah guides aright there is none to lead him astray.

Malaysia’s Creeping Fascism
A. Kugan is not the point. His race is not the point. His criminality is not the point. What is the point, is a bedrock fundamental of democratic process, the total and inviolable SEPARATION of enforcement, judgment, and punishment.
Defending the Prophet (saw) and his blessed supporters and lovers
From a dear brother:
“…I have a query, perhaps the answer of this is too obvious, but my heart is burdened, what should one do when one sees people disparaging the rank of the beloved messenger of Allah, may the perfect peace and blessings of Allah be upon him for as long as Allah exists, or making mockery of the lovers of the prophet, may Allah be well pleased with them and swell their ranks? As a lay-brother, I can bare to remain quite on many issues, but not on this one, of course I hope my actions always remain within the bounds of proper courtesy. What is proper for me to do? Speak a few words, or remain quite and allow them to defile and pollute the minds of others?
(I am not talking about the unintentional slip ups of scholars or aspects related to the Deobandi-Breliwi scenario, or deliberate time-wasting scholastic arguments – this question is asked away from all that, detached.)…”

The Plague Of Sin
Is sin a modern plague? Not really. Many philosophers have observed that the quantum of sin and evil is more or less constant throughout history. Even some verses of Al Qur’an hint that a “demand” for the Day of Judgment would find ALL human souls in a state of unspeakable REMORSE for our sins.
