My resignation as Chairman, Islamic Outreach ABIM

Al-Hamdulillah, wa Sallallah wa Sallama `Ala Sayyidina Rasulillah, wa Alihi wa Sahbihi wa Man Walah, Wa Ba`du;

I have submitted my official resignation letter as Chairman, Islamic Outreach ABIM, to ABIM’s Secretary General, with a requested effective date of August 31, 2011. Kenyataan Media Pertubuhan-pertubuhan Pembela Islam (PEMBELA) berhubung isu pemeriksaan Pasukan Penguatkuasaan JAIS ke atas premis Dream Center milik Damansara Utama Methodist Church pada 3 Ogos 2011.

8 Ogos 2011M bersamaan 8 Ramadhan 1432H

Pertubuhan-pertubuhan Islam yang bergabung di bawah PEMBELA ingin menzahirkan sokongan terhadap tindakan Pasukan Penguatkuasaan JAIS melakukan pemeriksaan ke atas premis Dream Centre yang dimiliki Damansara Utama Methodist Church pada 3 Ogos 2011. Penganjuran “Thanksgiving Dinner” di dewan tersebut dengan melibatkan orang-orang Islam pada waktu berbuka puasa di bulan mulia Ramadhan menimbulkan pelbagai persoalan dan mendedahkan penganut agama Islam kepada upacara keagamaan bukan Islam di tempat bukan Islam.
