Perkembangan terkini kes nama Allah di Mahkamah Rayuan, Putrajaya

Pada hari ini, 23.5.2013, panel tiga hakim Mahkamah Rayuan diketuai YA Dato’ Seri Abu Samah Nordin, bersidang bersama YA Dato’ Balia Yusof Haji Wahi dan YA Dato’ Rohana Yusuf, di Istana Kehakiman, Putrajaya telah mengesahkan perintah persetujuan (consent order) terhadap permohonan perayu-perayu yang terdiri daripada enam Majlis-majlis Agama Islam Negeri dan Persatuan Cina Muslim Malaysia, (MACMA), yang merayu terhadap keputusan Mahkamah Tinggi Kuala Lumpur pada 31.12.2009 yang menolak permohonan perayu untuk menjadi pencelah (intervener) di dalam kes ini.Continue reading “Perkembangan terkini kes nama Allah di Mahkamah Rayuan, Putrajaya”

Penyalahgunaan nama suci Allah – National Christian Fellowship Malaysia (NECF)

Pada hari ini pihak Persatuan Peguam Muslim Malaysia (PPMM) telah menerima aduan daripada beberapa Pertubuhan Islam Bukan Kerajaan (NGI) berhubung satu poster di laman sosial Facebook yang dipercayai melanggar peruntukan-peruntukan di dalam  Enakmen Ugama Bukan Islam (Kawalan Pengembangan di Kalangan Orang Islam) 1988.  Poster daripada pihak gereja tersebut boleh dimuat turun dari laman http://www.necf.org.my/view_file.cfm?fileid=613.

LGBT rights: The Challenge for Malaysia

The present-day difficulties experienced by the Malaysian public is that the sexual deviants are coming “out of the closet”. The primary manifestation is in the demand for public parades, the call to abolish “archaic” anti-sodomy laws in the Penal Code, demonstrations, legalizing same-sex marriage and other activities to make sexual deviance seem to be a perfectly natural aspect of human rights and behaviour.

Malaysia has managed to escape the ravages to governance that has now struck a number of Muslim countries, most lately in what is being called the “Arab Spring“.
